About Dr. Baron Sams
Hello, I learned about the benefits of chiropractic and osteopathic care after suffering a back injury from a mountaineering fall accident in 1973. The pain and restricted motion disabled me from living my adventuress lifestyle of white water kayaking, canoeing, blue water sailing and many other sports.
During this time I worked with my father as a lab tech, where he specialized in cardiolo
gy and internal medicine. Western approach to back care is drugs and surgery; I spent time researching alternative treatment and prevention methods. Research led me to an osteopath who developed an ingenious treatment traction table called the "McManis Traction Table". This table was developed in the early 1900's. The treatment results were incredible and I was able resume my full active lifestyle. This was when I decided to become a chiropractor.
I graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1977, and became a Diplomat of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. I was a member of the preceptor faculty at the Los Angeles Chiropractic College in 1984. My purpose was to train and supervise new graduate doctors giving them the opportunity to practice in the art and science of chiropractic.
I quickly became familiar with treatment methods to restore posture, motion, balance and spinal functions. I become proficient at helping complex spinal cases. We have now treated over 10,000 individuals and prevented countless surgeries for over 33 years.
Our current tables are modernized versions of Dr. McManis' original tables that better accommodate patients comfort.
I have pioneered and developed over 20 treatment devices aiding in better treatment outcomes and giving our patient's the necessary skills and tools for home care and prevention.
